CRAIG MC CARTHY

Valuer - Ireland

I first joined the Mercedes-Benz Club in 2005 when I was living in the UK. I returned to Ireland in June 2006 and attended a club meeting @Dundrum, co. Tipperary in the August where I met James Lavelle who was joint RO with Padraic Berry who was retiring from the position. Before I knew it, I was roped in to be Padraic's replacement by the end of the day. So began a relationship with the club which to date had me in the position of RO for Munster and presently valuer for Ireland and Concours Judge!  As RO's, because of the membership demographic, we moved the meetings to Cork where it remains today.  One of the proudest moments I've had in the club was organising the first Irish trip & Concours in 2010. There were over 30 Concours entries from Belgium, Germany, the UK and Ireland @ the world famous Blarney Castle and house.   The week was rounded off with the trip continuing to the Leinster region kindly organised by Turlough Mullen and Tom Kerrigan .   This years OSD 2022 will be my 16th as an officer of this fine club.  Over the years I've met some very nice people at the various club events here and abroad and made a lot of friends along the way. Hope to see you soon !
